Pink Laptop Computers
The Dell Latitude D505 is just one of several pink laptop computers which use the 15 inch TFT Active Matrix Display LCD which is basically the average diagonal size for laptop screens. This seems to be the most popular size, actually the 15.4 inch displays are the most common, for providing a comfortable viewing area and keeping the overall size and weight of the color laptop down to a nice ultra portable level.
We had the opportunity not too long ago to review a Hot Flamingo Pink Dell Latitude D505 color laptop with the Intel Pentium M 1.6 GHz processor installed. These do lean toward the budget price range as many of them can be found on the used market for pink laptop computers. This tends to make buyers quite pleased with their purchase. The Dell Latitude D505 is a basic laptop which performs just as you would expect a laptop in this price range to perform.
Of course Windows 7 laptops require much more yet with 768MB of RAM (system memory) and Microsoft Windows XP Professional with the latest updates including Service Pack this model is quite responsive and makes a great laptop for surfing the web wirelessly, email communications, office productivity tasks, and the other basic functions you would expect in a laptop computer.
The wireless capabilities are provided by the Wireless Intel Internal Mini PCI 802.11b/g WiFi card which offers support for both WEP and WPA encryption algorithms which provide you the ability to easily secure your wireless network connections.
The ATI RADEON 9000 graphics card is the actual power behind the graphics and although this is certainly not a super high end gaming video card, it will reproduce DVD movies in a very decent quality and is easy on the eyes for the everyday computing duties as well.
With only 32MB of video memory this card is adequate for most general computing situations but if you are looking for a super high end gaming laptop then this is not the laptop you should buy. Obviously if you are looking for a real bargain on cheap pink laptops then this may just be the way to go as these are a lot cheaper than the higher end laptops are going for right now.
There are so many pink laptops available today that it seems like all of the manufacturers have jumped on the bandwagon but that is a good thing actually because it gives consumers a choice of budget level to the higher end.
Matching your requirements and the tasks you wish to accomplish to the right laptop is important when shopping around for the perfect laptop.
If you have an idea of what you want to use your portable computer for then you can actually increase your chances of not buying more computer than what you really need and this will in turn help you save money in the end. Keep in mind that a color laptop with Windows Vista will generally need to have at least 1GB of RAM (system memory) in order to function at an acceptable level of responsiveness otherwise it will be noticeably boggy and slow. Windows 7 and Vista are very resource intensive and with all of the graphic requirements this amount of memory will allow the additional features to run as intended while preventing your computer from getting bogged down. If you are used to Windows XP then you may know that the recommended amount of system memory is only 512MB of RAM but XP is not as resource intensive.
